Intimate Marriage Ceremony at Eleven Madison Park Restaurant

Eleven Madison Park Restaurant keeps the nicest staff.  They are smart, sophisticated, and gracious hosts.  Perhaps the employees are commendable because their employers allocate nearly every Sunday as a day-of-rest.  Truly, this restaurant understands that if you make your staff happy, they will be gentler towards patrons.  Besides the joy of the personnel, my couple married amid lovely elegance.  In its earlier years, Eleven Madison Park Restaurant was not a public restaurant: it offered fine dining for executives.  Now it offers luxury to the discerning public. Imagine a soft, handsome romantic scene, and you will get a sense of this restaurant’s interior.

J+L also proved that customized ceremonies are not the only route to a meaningful exchange of vows.  On the evening of their ceremony, the groom expressed to me the sentiment that even though they were together for many years, saying the classic vows within a traditional civil ceremony (they choose my semi-formal service) really marked and reinforced their commitment.  And the bride later wrote: “Thank you so much for marrying us! We had such a terrific wedding it couldn’t have been more perfect :)

Wedding Ceremony in the Green Building, Brooklyn

Where do a secret speakeasy style lounge, a cavernous feeling, dilapidated warehouse, and charm combine?  At the Green Building, of course!

It is a darkish, romantic “raw space” with a funky back-room area that represents the welding together of refinement and urban grittiness. My couple even brought along their dog for photos, although he didn’t stay for the reception.  It was such a joy officiating a refined, yet informal ceremony there!

Judie,

Sorry it took me so long to reply, our computer was broken and I could only see the pics from my phone.  We absolutely love them!!  We are very happy with how they came out and are so excited to have them.  You and Liam did a great job with everything and are very happy we chose you to help us on our special day – and for that matter than you took us on such short notice :) .  Also we received our marriage certificate today.  Thank you again for everything.  Truly pleased with everything!  THANK YOU.

NYC Celebrant for Valentine’s Day

January has moved along at such a brisk and unquiet pace that I nearly neglected reminding folks about an annual Valentine’s Day wedding , vow renewal, engagement ceremony special.

Between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Tuesday, 14th February 2012, couples may enlist my services for their ceremony in their home, restaurant, Grand Central, a park, museum, or another landmark in most of Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens by contributing $175.  Kindly note that I only have enough time left for three more couples on St. Valentine’s Day!

Normal honoraria apply for other areas, times, and fully customized ceremonies.  If you are marrying and need the public record, you will also need to secure a marriage license in New York and a witness, who can be any responsible adult, as officiants cannot sign as the witness too.

Top of the Rock Wedding Ceremony

I could stare at this couple all day long; they are so pretty inside and out!!!

Melanie and John’s love story offers reminders to take advantage of every possible opportunity. In May 2009, Melanie rushed to Nissan to have her car serviced on a lunch break. John insisted she slow down long enough to receive his number. Their first date was a first date. Their second felt more inspired: after all, it is easy to bond over ice cream. Melanie’s friends met John at that point and decided that he might be “the one.” It did not take much longer for Melanie to agree too.

Since that second date, the pair have become inseparable. On October 8, 2011, John took Melanie for a belated birthday celebration to Skies, a rotating restaurant with fantastic views. The waiter snapped a photo. As the waited snapped another, John dropped to his knee and proposed. Apparently, John felt confident Melanie would say “yes.” When they returned to her father’s house, she discovered family and friends ready for a surprise engagement party complete with champagne and cake………….

Melanie and John, you each give the comfort, help, and companionship the other needs to be strengthened as an individual. Honesty, trust, and faithfulness form the foundation of your bond. You accept each other; you complement and balance each other; you confide in each other; and you admire each other. Whether cuddling while watching television or encountering new adventures on trips, you enjoy being together. To your credit, both have even made sacrifices to remain a couple. When struggles came, you packed only your most precious belongings into your cars and moved to a new home in Kansas City. In other words, your friendship has developed into true love.
